David Felten
Pastor at The Fountains, a United Methodist Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona (weputlovefirst.org), David and fellow United Methodist pastor, Jeff Procter-Murphy, are co-creators of the Living the Questions curriculum and authors of Living the Questions: The Wisdom of Progressive Christianity (HarperOne, 2012). David is one of the founders of No Longer Silent: Clergy for Justice, advocating for the full inclusion of LGBTQ people both in the church and in the community and one of the founding directors of Catalyst Arizona (formerly the Arizona Foundation for Contemporary Theology). Committed to bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and faith traditions for vital interfaith dialog, David is also the founder of the Fountain Hills Interfaith Alliance. As a musician, David has performed and recorded with a wide variety of local and nationally-known musicians. Elizabeth Bayer
Elizabeth is a yoga teacher and retired healing center owner. She is a noted lecturer, workshop leader and author of two non-fiction books dealing with self-discovery – her 2003 memoir Wednesdays at the Fluff ‘n’ Fold and 2016’s Yoga Expression Spirit in which she chronicles the three pillars of her life. In 2020, Elizabeth and her husband founded the Annandale Art and Textile Center, the MN non-profit home of the Heart of the Lakes Weavers, a vocational weaving program employing individuals with differing learning styles and abilities.

Marcus Borg
(1942–2015) was among the most widely known and influential voices in progressive Christianity. He was the Hundere Distinguished Professor of Religion and Culture at Oregon State University and canon theologian at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland. His books have sold over a million copies, including the bestselling Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time, Reading the Bible Again for the First Time, Jesus, The Heart of Christianity, Evolution of the Word, Speaking Christian, and Convictions. His work has been translated into eleven languages. The Marcus J. Borg Foundation is a repository of his work and the continuing conversation he so deeply engaged.

Marianne Borg
Marianne is Founding Chair of The Marcus J. Borg Foundation. She is a retired Episcopal priest having served at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Portland, Oregon for 18 years. She founded Trinity’s Center for Spiritual Development, an educational program that drew national attention. In addition to providing lectures and seminars featuring leading voices in the Christian and religious world, The Center developed a multi-year curriculum, “Seeking God in the 21st Century,” and sponsored pilgrimages to Turkey, Israel, Ireland, Greece, and Italy. Prior to her ordination in 1991, Marianne worked in San Francisco for Sunset Magazine and Films and Harper and Row (now HarperOne) Publishers.
