David Felten
Pastor at The Fountains, a United Methodist Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona (weputlovefirst.org), David and fellow United Methodist pastor, Jeff Procter-Murphy, are co-creators of the Living the Questions curriculum and authors of Living the Questions: The Wisdom of Progressive Christianity (HarperOne, 2012). David is one of the founders of No Longer Silent: Clergy for Justice, advocating for the full inclusion of LGBTQ people both in the church and in the community and one of the founding directors of Catalyst Arizona (formerly the Arizona Foundation for Contemporary Theology). Committed to bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and faith traditions for vital interfaith dialog, David is also the founder of the Fountain Hills Interfaith Alliance. As a musician, David has performed and recorded with a wide variety of local and nationally-known musicians. Walter Brueggemann (d. June 5th, 2025) was an Old Testament scholar and professor from Columbia Theological Seminary. Also a United Church of Christ minister, Brueggemann authored hundreds of articles, several biblical commentaries and more than 50 books, including The Prophetic Imagination, Genesis: A Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching, Finally Comes the Poet, Theology of the Old Testament, and Interrupting Silence: God’s Command to Speak Out.
